8. Notes On A Journey East
(Words & Music By Michael Wendroff)
Everybody is talking about their hassles
'Bout many roads that they've walked down alone
And the Spanish night comes rushing in around us
And we ask ourselves whats happening back home.
And I wonder if Jimmy's made the Rockies
If Stuie ever learned to drive a shift
Is the weather just as hot in New York City
We're splitting to Ibeza for a lift.
Oh it's a thousand kilometers from here to Paris
When we left the others they were feeling down
And that was two weeks ago last Thursday
Lots of time to be down here by now.
And I wonder if Jimmy's made the Rockies
If Stuie ever learned to drive a shift
Is the weather just as hot in New York City
We're splitting to Ibeza for a lift.
Oh down in the south, we grew impatient
To be headed back up north again
So we grabbed an express train out of Rome
I heard somebody shouting:
"when the hell are we goin' home".
And I wonder if Jimmy's made the Rockies
If Stuie ever learned to drive a shift
Is the weather just as hot in New York City
We're splitting to Ibeza for a lift.
